Neigh at the Bay

More Than a Tack Shop.
A Partner in Your Horse’s Journey.

Inspired by the everyday needs of horses and the people who love them.

Our StoryHow it all began

Horses have been a part of my life from a young age. What began as a childhood love soon grew into a lifelong passion that shaped my studies and career. I went on to study Animal Science and worked in an animal feed manufacturing facility, where I developed a solid understanding of animal nutrition and how feed is made and formulated.

My journey shifted when I began working in a tack shop in Johannesburg. It was there that I discovered my interest in saddle fitting, which eventually took me to France to complete specialised training. This experience taught me how a well fitted saddle can support the connection, comfort, and confidence between horse and rider.

We exist to elevate the bond between horse and rider.

We support horse owners at every stage, from those bringing home their first horse to those with long-standing partnerships. We offer help with tack selection, saddle fitting, everyday essentials, nutrition basics, and the questions that naturally come up when caring for a horse.

NEIGH AT THE BAYOur promise to every horse

My background in animal science, tack, and saddle fitting allows me to offer guidance that is both knowledgeable and practical. Every product is chosen with intention, and every recommendation is shaped by real, hands-on experience.

Meet the heartbehind the brand

When I visited Plettenberg Bay during the 2024 Robberg Grand Prix, I fell in love with the Garden Route and its warm equestrian community. This inspired me to open Neigh at the Bay, a small, thoughtful tack shop created to support local horses and riders.

Along the way, I have had the privilege of meeting incredible people and discovering passionate small businesses. Supporting small business owners and niche equestrian brands is something I value deeply, and I am proud to stock products that reflect craftsmanship, intention, and community.

I have always been eager to learn, and I continue to pursue new courses and training to expand and refine my knowledge. This commitment to growth means I can offer confident, honest guidance, whether it is about feed, tack, saddle fit, or everyday horse care.

Guided by experience, driven by learning, grounded in a love for horses.
